How to measure & what to expect

  • Width & Length: Measure the inside of your bed frame edge to edge. Round to the nearest inch.
  • Corners: If a corner is cut, measure how far the cut runs along each edge (X across, Y down) and pick Radius (rounded), Angle (diagonal), or Notch (square cut-in).
  • Unusual shapes: For boats, RV slide-outs, or antique beds, trace the shape on cardboard and attach it after submitting your quote.

Common van platform sizes

Every build is different. These are typical starting points, so measure your own platform.

How to measure

  1. Measure at both ends

    Measure the platform width at the head and the foot. Van walls often narrow toward the back.

  2. Trace pillar cutouts

    To clear rear door trim or pillars, lay cardboard on the platform and trace any corner you need cut.

  3. Measure into the flares

    If you have side flares or window pods, push the tape all the way into them to get your true wall-to-wall length.

We build it to order in our Phoenix warehouse and it's at your door in about a week. Shipping is free on orders over $200.
What's the return policy?
Custom sizes are final sale because they're cut for your platform. If it arrives not matching the measurements you submitted, or defective, we replace it or refund it.
Which height should I pick for a van?
It depends on your headroom. Measure from the platform to the ceiling and pick the height that still lets you sit up. Fria comes in 8, 10 and 12 inches.
